About Me

I’m an experienced freelance journalist, and, these days, a prolific novelist too. I’m the proud author of more novels than I can count, with the wartime Liberty Girls series (Penguin Random House) consistently making the bestseller lists.That was followed by The Good Time Girls (Embla), with the final book published in May 2023.

More recently, I’ve moved into contemporary fiction, writing as Hannah Treave. My first novel under this name, The Notekeeper (Canelo), was published in January 2023 and shot up the bestseller charts. The follow-up, The Holder of Hope, will be published in August 2025. I’m represented by Kate Burke at Blake Friedmann.

Alongside my fiction work, I also write for individuals, organisations and brands, helping them tell their stories through press releases, web copy, ghostwritten blogs, and more.
